Using Cricut Ink Color Markers and Life is a Beach Cartridge

I bought the Life is a Beach cartridge earlier this week from Michael’s for $39.99.  I love, love, LOVE light houses.  This cartridge has a cute one.  Here is a little video on what I worked on tonight.  It is my first video…. so go easy on me.

Very good first video. I have not had much luck with the markers. Will have to try it again. Thanks for sharing.

Uhhhhh….can you say “Way Cool!”? I can!
That was awesome….I had been wondering how well those markers worked…and the thought never occured to me that you could cut them out afterwards…whodda thunkit? U did!
    Thanks for sharing!
Love the sounds effects at the end too…great job!

  • Sandi:

This is a great video for people who don’t really “get” what the markers are for. I have added it to the master list of cricut video tutorials and hope that will bring you some more much deserved exposure.

  • Hi, I love this video, funny thing is that I was just thinking about how to make those gulls bettter without having to color which I am terrible at doing. Your instructions are great and I especially like the sound effects at the end. Thanks so much. Deanna

  • Joan:

Great job – I was interested in how these markers worked and the end result. TFS

I got my first set of markers and my grandson and I played with them one afternoon and they worked great. We then cut just as you showed. You did a great job on the video. I have sent the link to two of my friends wondering about how this worked.
    Thanks for sharing.

Thanks so much for sharing, I would have never though to do that, and I just got the cart!

  • I really enjoyed your video! Thank you so much for making it! I haven’t yet tried the markets and intended to get some today but got distracted…oh, well, there’s always tomorrow! Great job!

Just got my Cricut but can’t open it till my birthday which is in a few weeks. I am amazed at what this machine can do. Now that I see that color can be added I can’t wait. Many thanks for posting this video.

  • Libby:

    Excellent job!

  • Dana:

Thanks!! I have used my markers and cut my work out afterward but what I really like about your technique and think it makes a BIG difference in how the cut aligns…is that you put the blade housing back in BEFORE you press Load Page to return to the original cut spot! It makes for a much tighter cut/marker alignment…making the piece “pop”. Keep up the great work! Thanks for sharing your knowledge :)

  • Janet:

Thanks for the video – LOVED the sound effects!!!
