I am sorry, please read

Hi Everyone,

I went to delete a service that Go Daddy was billing me for, when I deleted it my entire hosting account went away.  Go Daddy said that I deleted the wrong thing, but I know what I clicked on and I am not buying it.  They offered to restore all files for $150.00 charge.  I had a file back up of everything up to January so I declined and will just live with out the last 2 months post.  At the time the blog went down I was holding a Blog Candy give away, I am going to stop that now and just choose a winner from the entries already received.  I have the e-mails of everyone that has entered.   I am going to announce the winner from the entries already received tonight and then take some time off from my blog and decide if I truly want to keep it going.

    How awful for you…. What is wrong with these providers?? Don’t they get that we just vote with our feet and won’t be held to ransom? I wondered what had happened when I came to look earlier. Please don’t give up….. maybe find another provider? I enjoy reading your blog and looking at your wonderful creations… HeyJude! x

  • I’m so sorry that this happened to you! I hope you keep your files coming and your tutorials. They are great and you do a great job! Sometimes it helps to pick up the phone with the same company and talk to a different person…I find that it has made a difference with things like this. Good luck and let us know what happens if you try that route.

    PLEASE DON’T STOP BLOGGING!!! {smiles} It’s so dissappointing to hear about your ordeal with your service provider. But maybe you can use Blogger or WordPress. You were one of the first blogs I started following. I would hate to see you go. I have visited often for inspiration and for your wonderful freebies. I’m bummed out.

  • Have you “informed” GoDaddy that you can find a host that DOESN’T charge for reinstalling your site? Quite honestly, if they want your business they should accomodate you whether it is their fault or yours (and I believe you when you say it is theirs!) Check around, there are lots of deals out there and some actually offer customer service (duh!)

    Don’t give up the blog. Please? I love your creativity and talent. I would miss it very much.

    I’m so sorry they did that to you. I hope you don’t stop blogging because your creations are wonderful; however, I would certainly understand if you decided to stop.   • I’m sorry to hear about your issues with your hosting provider. I’m a webdesigner and I have all my clients use Yahoo to host their sites. I have had my website hosted with them for 4 years now and have not had a problem. (knock on wood, throw salt over my shoulder LOL) When clients come to me that are currently using Go Daddy I have them switch immediately! I think Yahoo is much more user friendly to use and I have even walked them through the process and most of them update their sites themselves. Just my 2 cents. :) I wish you good luck. I check in on your blog regularly. Thanks for all the great files you share!!!

And I always know that you will be on top of the coupons out there and sharing those with us. I’m sure that the blog is time consuming and I applaud you for all you have done.
