I Cut Some More Vinyl and a Blog Candy! (closed)

My sister-in-law came over yesterday and said I need to update my window because Christmas is past!  I still had my Christmas vinyl decorations up.  I decided to cut a few images in vinyl from a cricut cartridge that I have not used in a very long time.  Can you guess what cricut cartridge I used?

If you guessed the Home Decor cricut cartridge you are right.  I receive lots and lots of e-mails about where I buy my vinyl from so I am going to go over it real quick.  I buy it from uscutter.com. My friend and I go in on the purchase together so we can buy more colors for our money.  They have flat rate shipping so if you order several rolls it is a deal.  On average a sheet of vinyl breaks down to be .65 per sheet versus the $5.00 per sheet that Provocraft sells there vinyl for and it is the same thing.  Oracal 631.

I got my Home Decor cricut cartridge from Wal-Mart a few years ago on Black Friday.  Back then it could only be found in that bundle.  I cashed in some cricut rewards points and will be giving some cartridges away over the next few weeks.  This week it will be the Home Decor cricut cartridge.

Please leave a comment on this post to be entered in the drawing.  The Drawing will be held next Tuesday March 30th (because that is my next day off)

  • Kristin:

My husband gave me a Cricut for my birthday, and I am learning new things everyday about it. I just came across your website and am so excited to learn even more today! I am excited to use the SVG files you have on your website to download! It took me forever to learn what they were and how to use them with my SCAL program. I finally found that I import them! Ugh! I only have one cartridge and it is the one that came with my Cricut. I would love the opportunity to add another one to my collection. Thank you so much for putting out a wonderful website to help people like me that are just getting started. It opens up a whole new world for me!

  • Just found your blog and love it! Thanks for the info on the vinyl. That will save me a lot of money!

  • Brenda:

I just adore your blog. I love working with vinyl too and am a bit blessed in that case. We have a sign company in the town I live and once a month I can go there and “buy” up some of their vinyl rests. They are usually anywhere from 6 x 6 up to 36 x 36. They really give me a fair price. The color selections aren’t always the ultimate best, but that just gives me another reason to find a project to use it on. Anyway, just thought I’d share that and look forward to another project from you. Have a great day.

  • Sussann:

lovely! I am finding lots of inspiration from your projects, thanks for sharing!
