My daughters birthday was at the end of May. I wanted to use my cricut cake to decorate a birthday cake for her. I had this cartridge on order from OMC but it t0ok a long time to receive it. Joann’s had them in stock so I decided to bite the bullet and buy it from Joann’s (since it was on sale). The good is that I am glad that I bought it from Joann’s because I ended up getting the cartridge 6 weeks later from OMC a full month after my daughters birthday. The bad was after all of that, I had gotten really ill with a throat and ear infection and never got to decorate her birthday cake. So now I have this Birthday Cake cricut cartridge (new never opened). I thought that I would try and sell it first on craigslist and on the cricut yahoo group, and did not get any takers on it so I am going to give it away on my blog.

Sorry about your being sick and not being able to decorate the cake. I know what you mean about OMC shipping. They are extremely slow! They are usually my last choice to order from for that reason. Has to be a really good deal for me to choose them.

A wonderful blog candy for someone and a sad experience for you. I too had fallen in the same situation as you about a birthday cake never finished due to illness. I would love to have the chance to win it. I use to be a cake decorator, now I would rather do a decorative cake on a card…haha

Oh, Christie … Sad for you, but great for us! I hope your daughter had a nice birthday and that you’re feeling better. I haven’t decided yet whether to get the Cricut Cake though I think the Birthday Fairy (that’d be my husband, Mr. Smiley) will take this easy route for my upcoming celebration next month. He’s even more interested in it since I said that I might want to try cutting ceramic “slip” on it — sheets of clay — to create and sell tiles. THEN I’m going to need a kiln, and a FAR larger craft area!!! Anywho, thanks for the offer and generous blog candy!

Wow! This is the first time that I have been on this site, and a chance to enter a drawing. What a blessing. I am thrilled at the idea of having a place to come to for tutorials.
