Tutorial On How To Create An SVG From A Coloring Book Page

I had someone ask me how to turn a coloring book page into an svg file. Instead of writing step by step instructions, I thought that it would be easier to do a short video tutorial. This tutorial shows you how to turn a coloring book page (using inkscape) into an svg file that can be cut out on your cricut using Sure Cut’s A Lot.

This is so great to see! Thank you! But I am new to all of this and just got a Cricut Expression, and I don’t really know what Inkscape is. I use SCAL. Would this work the same way with this program? Thanks for any help.

Almost every time I trace and then try to save the file, it says it saves it but when I open SCAL2 and try to import the file from the desktop, the file is only just a white box (like a piece of paper) can you help me with this issue?
    Thanks

Thanks for this tutorial, I think it is by far the easiest for me to follow that I have tried. Now if only I had this to follow a few days ago when I tried to create my own file of the wicked queen hag in Snow White, she might have looked tons better. Thanks for your video, I sure appreciate it.
