My First PDC Rose
My husband took the kids to spend the day over at there cousins so I got some free time to “play” for myself. I got to create my very first PDC rose. A PDC Rose is a paper rose created by the one and only (awesome and talented) Penny Duncan. I bought a pack of watercolor paper from Michaels using a 40% off coupon. The brand is Canson and the watercolor paper is 140lb paper.
You can click on the picture to go right to her tutorial and download the free svg cut file to cut on your cricut. I colored the white water color paper by spraying both sides of the cut flower layers with Tattered Angels Viva Pink. For the green stem I used a green Stampin Up ink spot. I sprayed my finished flower with Crafter’s Companion Spray & Sparkle Iridescent. I love the effect but right now it smells like finger nail polish so I am hoping the smell will dissipate. Next time I going to try rubbing a thin layer of Rock Candy Stickles on the petals before I put it together.
**update** after several hours my flower no longer smells like finger nail polish!
