Today I had a little bit of free time so I worked on project that I have been wanting to try.

It is a chipboard post it note pad. I used some pretty patterned paper, ribbon, Bind It All, 3M memo pad and chipboard. The heart is from the Hello Kitty Greetings Cartridge.

I wanted the chipboard to be sturdy so I glued two pieces of it together and then adhered the pattern paper to both sides.  Next, I attached the 3M pad and sanded the sides to make them look nice and binded it with the Bind It All.  I tied my new pink grosgrain ribbon on the front and cut the heart from the Hello Kitty Greeting cartridge.    The heart was attached with foam mounting.

The very first word book I ever created was a gift for my sister.  I don’t have much time to work on projects.  My 20 month old daughter and six month old son keep me pretty busy.  I was glad when I was able to finish it in time to give it to her for her birthday.  I went through our old photo’s of when were were children and put pictures of us in it growing up.
