Black Friday Cricut DEALS!!!!!!
Hi Everyone,
I woke up to an e-mail with awesome cricut deals so I wanted to make sure that you are aware of them. The site is papercraftingpro.com. You can see my prior post about this company here. I am not affiliated with this company and I have NEVER purchased a membership. I order using the 2 day free trial. You have to use an e-mail account that you have not used before. One day I am hoping that they will give out free memberships
The new Birthday Bash and Nifty Fifties cricut cartridges for only $27.00 each!!!!!
There is an awesome deal on the seasonal cartridges as well. I am trying to hold strong on my promise of not buying anything else for a long long long time but the Trim The Tree cartridge is sooooo gosh darn cute!!!! I really really really want it! For $16.00 it is so hard to say no
They even have deals on the new cricut imagine machine and cartridges. The pattern cartridges are $30.00 and image cartridges $40.00. I bought the Snow Angel cartridge when I purchased my imagine. It is so cute and perfect for the holidays. If you are like me and have a hard time deciding which cartridge you really want first be sure to check out the handbooks online @ cricut.com They pretty much have most of the handbooks online for you to see. They recently added all of the imagine handbooks as well.
I am so excited!!! I know that this post is kind of long already but I recently made a dust cover for my cricut imagine. Here are a few pictures of it. I am not much of a sewer yet, I hope to get better, but I don’t think I did to bad for making my own pattern. The bug head I digitized myself. It was from the Store Front cricut cartridge. The pink fabric was just a test fabric, although I love pink. I actually bought some pink and chocolate paisley colored fabric to make matching covers for my cricut expression and imagine machine. I did not want to waste the good fabric in case it did not turn out. You can’t IMAGINE mys surprise when it worked the first time around.
Embroidering With Your Cricut Cartridges????
Last night on one of the Yahoo groups that I belong to, someone shared the link to this video on YouTube. I am so excited to try this sometime! I have a Singer Futura CE-150 that I bought from Joann’s when they were on sale earlier this year. It did not come with the Autopunch software as in this video but I lucked out and caught a deal on e-bay. I got the Autopunch, Hyperfont, Photo Stitch, Cross Stitch and Editing software for $99.00. I was kind of worried that it would be fake software or not work since all it was so cheap. Right now, Joann.com sells the Autopunch software by it self for $399.00. The cd’s that I got were original singer cd’s and worked just fine! I have not not done a lot of custom embroidery work but this has just inspired me to. To cricut and use your sewing machine! How awesome is that! FYI, it is national sewing month. HSN has lots of deals on sewing right now. They have the ce-150 like I have WITH all the software for $699.00 and free shipping. 5 flex pays for $139.00 per month.
I think that this is going to be awesome! Think of all the images that you could try this with from the cartridges. The frames to make your very own monogram. It is simply amazing.
I recently used my sewing machine and made a cupcake potholder using one of cupcak svg’s that I posted several weeks ago. I had to adjust the size and the “frosting” just a bit to make it work. I am by means not an expert sewer and had to ask for help from my yahoo group friends on how to sew the curves of the cupcake. For a beginner I don’t think it turned out bad, what do you think?
Like I said, I am definately not an expert, just a newbie. I am still working on it, so once I get it all figured out I will share the directions if enough people express an interest in it.
Toy Story and New Cartridges $34.95 and Free Shipping!!!!
I woke up and checked my e-mail this morning to an e-mail from http://cricutmachine.com and they are having a really good sale right now. All of the new cartridges including Toy Story are $34.95 and FREE SHIPPING!!!! My kids are OBSESSED with Toy Story right now. I can not wait to get this cartridge. My daughter was jumping up and down as I ordered it.
The other day I got an e-mail from them that the gypsy was on sale for $189.00. That is not unusual, but this Gyspy comes with 6 cartridges and guess what????? All six are an electronic download.
I know at one point they were selling the 4 down-loadable cartridges in a bundle as well for $49.95 and several people have bought it and it does work! It is no longer on there site but I am POSITIVE that this will not be the last you have heard about this. There have been rumblings for a long time that cricutmachine.com is owned and operated by Provocraft since the contact information they have listed on there site, and with the BBB are listed on other sites that we KNOW are Provocraft. I am thinking that this was a test for them to see how the download service would work and maybe, just maybe there will be some more $12.50 cartridges in our future!!!
Gypsy and Design Studio Updates and a New Thanksgiving Cartridge!!!!
Hi Everyone,
I have been waiting and waiting for the new Gypsy and Design Studio updates. Well there is an unannounced update because when you connect and sync your Gypsy it does download a new update. We now have French Manor and All the Martha Stewart Cake Cartridges on the Gypsy!!!! Yes, connect your Gypsy and sync it to get your updates! (sorry the Creative Memories Cartridges were not included in this Gypsy update)
I thought, what the heck, since there was an unannounced Gypsy update, maybe the cricut design studio has an update as well. Well guess what??? (click on the picture to go to the site to download the update)
It says that the last update was July 15th but that is not true, it will download a new update with cartridges that are not listed yet. All the Martha Stewart Cakes are available. I also saw the new exclusive Creative Memories cricut cartridges in the update as well.
Reminisce Accents
There was also a new cartridge called Thanksgiving!!!!!
I am off to link my cartridges to my Gypsy!!!
Big Top, Vinyl Cut On My Cricut
I finally got to use my Cricut Lite Carousel Cartridge. I made a red and white Big Top cut out of vinyl for a circus themed display at work. I had the blade depth on 6, pressure 2 and speed max. I cut the base out in white, then the top layer out in red. I used clear contact paper from Wal-Mart as transfer tape. I picked up the red layer and attached it to contact paper. Eyeballed the placement and attached it the white layer and the peeled off the contact paper. It turned out great! I love vinyl!!
