Summer Drink and Flower SVG
Hello Everyone,
Oh my gosh, time sure flies! I was on vacation and I had so much that I planned to do with my blog and unfortunately did not get to do much of it. I have worked on a few files. Coming soon will be a cute match box. It is a finished file but I want to decorate it before I post it. I also have a french fry box that I used for candy treats for my daughters birthday. I also have a rhinestone design that I will probably show this next weekend using the Funtime Rhinestone software and the cougar! It is pretty awesome!
For now though, enjoy this summer drink and flower svg!
I have been able to work a little bit with my new Cougar. It is a new machine that takes a bit of getting use to so I am still figuring out settings. I think that it is an awesome machine and once I get a little bit more comfortable with it, I will give my full review of it.
YEAH!!!! I am still here!!!!

The blog may be down up to 24 hours while the domain name process changes.
Here is a 5 petal flower svg for you.
My 13 Inch Black Cat Cougar Arrived!!!!
LOVE IT! Since I was practicing my cuts, I used an old cricut mat first to get the hang of it.
I bought 3m archival safe photo spray at Wal-Mart and adhered 12×12 pattern card stock to the .22 chipboard and it cut wonderfully. I sprayed the chipboard and then applied the paper to it. Quick and easy. This is exciting for me, a time saver so that I don’t have to cut the chipboard, then the letters and glue them together. To get the best cut, I did 2 passes. I am still learning my machine so I have not perfected my cuts yet, but I feel that these are still awesome!
This is the back side of the cut.
This is the front side of the cut.
Here is print and cut with the laser registration. I used a graphic from Lettering Delights and Make The Cut software.
This was done with the pen tool! One of my favorites. I used the Damask Boutique file from the talented Paulo. I used the a metallic silver pen by Uniball. This machine is soooo smooth. You won’t believe it. I did not take a picture of it, but I also tried just the regular glitter pens that I bought at Hobby Lobby with a 40% off coupon. I also tried the Cri-Kit gel pens and they are awesome in the Cougar pent tool as well.
My Daughters Bowling Party Birthday Invites
My little girl is turning 4. Today she said she is a big girl and she is going to go to school on Monday. Then my 2 year old, not to be out done by his big sister said that he is going to school on Friday. Hey, if I had to pick a day of the week to go to school on, I sure would pick Friday :0. I can’t believe how fast they are growing. That is honestly why I have not been around my blog so much lately. I did get to finish up her birthday party invites today. She loves bowling so we are having a party at the bowling alley for her. I made cute bowling pin invitations for her party and I thought that I would share them.
I usedCri-Kits gel pens. I just love them. They are so easy to use and work perfect with Sure Cut’s Alot 2 or Make The Cut software. I used the Biscotti font. If you search my blog, you can find another post with a link to download it. I ended up taking Bazzill Smooth Cardstock and adhered white vinyl to it. Placed the 12×12 cardstock, vinylside downon the cutting mat. I used a pink Cri-Kit gel pen to write out the invite in Sure Cut’s a lot 2 and then cut it out. I know that you can’t really tell from the picture, but the white vinyl side, makes it look just like a bowling pin. I topped it off with a couple of strips of red vinyl. I think they turned out great.
Here is the SVG file. I could have made it wider, the choice is yours if you want to re-size it. I liked it this way, because it looked more like a real bowling pin.
If you would like to continue followingmy blog, please take note that the blog name will be changing to mytimetocraft.com on 05-27-2011.
Flower Flourish SVG, Craftedge News and New Blog Name!
A few years ago I was in the Michael’s store and I saw the new Cricut cutting machine. $499.00….way out of my price range but I thought it looked SO COOL! Due to the price, I pushed it out of my head and did not think about it again until I saw the Personal Cricut on a Black Friday deal at Wal-Mart for $125.00. I bought it and used my sisters employee discount and scored it for $112.50 plus tax. I was in love with this machine. I even bought a Disney Cartridge **GASP** for $89.00. At $89.00 for a cartridge I knew that this was going to be expensive and started having regrets about my purchase…no matter how much I liked this machine until I did a google search online. I found Cricut Cartridges cheap online trough Oh My Crafts and E-bay and boy I was in HEAVEN….I actually returned the open Disney Cartridge to Wal-Mart and got my money back and bought 3 cartridges for almost that price online. In my Internet search, I found a video about SCAL and how you can cut font’s using your cricut. Seemed like an investment to me because I figured I would not need to spend the big bucks on cartridges. I purchased SCAL and loved it. I learned about inkscape and making my own files. I was in Heaven. My love of Cricut Cartridges never stopped though. I have just about every cartridge released until Black Friday 2010. Buying SCAL or Make The Cut software never stopped me from collecting them. I love to create my own files but a lot of images in the Cartridges are just so darn cute but then came the overload. More cartridges released then I could ever afford to buy. The law suit with MTC was settled and now it appears that Craftedge has settled there lawsuit as well because SCAL2 is no longer available on the Craftedge website. You will be able to use SCAL2 with your cricut, but there will not be any further updates. I did some checking and as of this post, you can still sign up to download the trial version of SCAL2 from MyCricutBuddy.com so that you can have a back up of the software in case your computer fails or you buy a new one. I would recommend doing it as soon as possible because I don’t think that it will remain there for long.
I have increasingly become more and more unhappy with Provocraft and not just because of the MTC of Craftedge lawsuit. Last year I joined the Cricut Circle. We were suppose to get exclusive cartridges, exclusive offers and other things that I feel were never delivered. There quarterly cartridge never lived up to my expectations. The last cartridge was cricut stuff. My Cricut Circle membership has officially ended. Products I purchased like the Gypsy and Imagine were released and sold with promises that they could do certain things but I had to wait (felt like forever in some cases) for updates to make them work as they were suppose to. Cartridges were released and available to purchase but could not be used with the Gypsy or Design Studio until they finally would get around to releasing an update. I did watch the new Cricut Expression 2 Premier on HSN to see what it was about, but I did not purchase it. To many false promises. I sold my Cricut Cake and Imagine. I still have my Cricut Expression and Gypsy and will keep them as my investment in them is so great compared to what I would get to sell them. I did purchased a 13 inch Black Cat Cougar that should be delivered next week….Yeah! I have also been spending more time with my E-craft cutting machine and I have to admit, I am starting to love it since it came back from repair. Due to the fact that I don’t want to support Provocraft and all things cricut anymore…I will be changing my blog name. My new blog name will be…..MYTIMETOCRAFT.COM
I am going to *Try* and change this blog domain to the new one by Friday May 27th. I don’t want to loose all the work I have done, but if I have trouble changing the blog domain name then I will be deleting this blog and starting over with my new one. I have done a lot of research on changing blog names and I hope everything goes with out a hitch. I just won’t know if it will work until I try it. I also want to say thank you for supporting mytimetocraft.com for the past 2 years. It really has meant so much to share this site with you.
For now though I do have a Flower Flourish SVG for you. It is in 2 layers and I hope you like it!
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog.
