Summer Word Book and Really Cool Fish Vinyl
Gosh, it has been awhile since my last post. All I can say is that time sure flies when you are having fun! Iam super excited that 13 inch Cougar that I ordered has made it to the US. Hopefully by next week I should have it. Just in time to play with it on my vacation.
I know I have posted a Summer wordbook before, this one is a bit different. I wanted something simple for a project that I am working on. Here it is!
I used the fish svg from an older post here. I made a few of them just messing around with cutting vinyl and layering them. My husband said it looks like a Crappie!
Thank you for stopping by my blog!
NEWS!! & Easter Word Book Designed On My Ipad
Hi Everyone,
Slowly but surely I am getting back in the groove. Here is an Easter wordbook completely done on my Ipad. I tried out a new app to connect to my PC that works over 3G and Wifi. It is called Go To My PC. It was so simple to install. You download the software on the website and download the app to your ipad. You are all set. My PC is on a Router and it configured everything perfectly. The graphics on this program are awesome! You can do everything on your computer, like right click, select and drag. Crucial tools that you need when you are trying to design in inkscape or other programs. It works so well and they even give you a 30 day free trial. The app on the ipad is free so there is no cost to check it out. The only catch is that after 30 days it is $9.99, but I think that it is so worth it! If you want me to do a video on it, please leave a comment. I will do one if there is enough interest.
It has been a long time since I have done a word book, I thought that it was about time
An Easter wordbook SVG! The zip file only includes the png image and the svg. The svg is in layers so you can turn off and on each page as you are cutting it.
I have been thinking about what to do about my blog and my Cricut. In-case you have not heard. MTC settled the Law Suit with Provocraft and now they no longer will be supporting the cricut. The cricut will still work with MTC as long as you dont upgrade your software. They are going after Craftedge as well. I have been looking into a new cutter for SVG’s. I have a pink E-craft by craftwell but it is kind of buggy and I am not really happy about it. I plan to do some more testing with it this weekend, MTC is compatible with the E-Craft and Craftedge is working on SCAL2 to be compatible as well. My love for cricut though is dieing. It is just to hard to keep up with all the cartridges. The last cartridge I purchased was from Black Friday and I don’t plan to buy more. I wish that we could buy 1 image and down load versus having to buy a whole cartridge. I also made up my mind to not renew the cricut circle membership for the next quarter. I have had the Everyday Cricut cartridge listed on Craigslist for over 3 weeks with not even one person interested. I just don’t think that the “exclusive” program is worth it. To finance a new cutting machine I have listed my Imagine and Cricut Cake cutter on Craigslist. If anyone has used other cutting machines and has any advice, please let me know. You can e-mail me at mycricutscrapbooking at gmail.com. So far I will be checking out Pazzles and a Lynx Black Cat cutter. I want to try and stay with cutters that will use Scal2 or MTC. Thank you for stopping by my blog!
Cross Svg Made On My Ipad
I have been lusting after an Ipad for awhile. This past weekend I discovered that Wal-Mart was making room for the new Ipad 2 that comes out tomorrow by reducing the price of the original Ipads 100.00. My sister let me use her employee discount so we were able to get an extra 10% off. Since Ipads never go on sale, I decided to go for it.
There is an app called RDP that allows you to connect to other computers on your network. I am now typing this out in Internet explorer on my IPAD. I have read that there is a way to setup RDP to run on 3G but I have not figured that part out yet. I was able to successfully connect the Ipad to my Windows 7 Desktop and design in inkscape, Make The Cut and Sure Cut’s Alot all from my IPAD. The RDP app is fully feature and allows you to drag and click. It takes just a little bit of getting use to but I loved it!
This is my first design from my Ipad so I wanted to keep it a bit simple. I have to say that I think that this software app works well and it was super great not to be forced to sit in front of my actual computer. This was entirely done sitting on my couch!
The svg, MTC, and SCUT2 files are in layers so that you can turn them on or off.
Sailboat, Anchor and Life Preserver
It sure has been a while…..Thank you for being so patient and understanding while I have been on a break. NO more though! Here is a cute sailboat svg. It also comes with a anchor and life preserver.
The svg file is in layers, I have also included the Make the Cut file and Scut2 file for Sure Cut’s A Lot
