Christmas Stocking SVG
I can’t believe it is almost Christmas. Time is flying by so quick! We took the kids to see Santa this past weekend. They were so excited until we got right to him. Then neither one of them wanted to sit on Santa’s lap or have pictures taken. I was hoping that we would be able to get a quick picture but instead we just waved to him and walked through the exit. Maybe next year. They love Santa when they see him on the TV. There favorite Christmas move is the Search For Santa Paws. When it comes on we have to be on the ready to applaud when ordered. If we don’t, then we get scolded. We have to clap for Santa and Mrs Clause when they sing and dance!
Here is a Christmas Stocking svg for you to download.
The zip file included .MTC (Make The Cut), SCUT2 (Sure Cut’s ALot) and SVG.
The file is also in layers so you can turn on and off each layer in SCAL2 when cutting.
Happy Holidays!
Christmas Candle SVG & Finished My Christmas Cards!!
Hello,
I have been busy finishing up my Christmas cards. I am so excited because I have tried for the past couple of years to make my own but I usually end up running to the store to buy some at the last minute to mail out. I am so glad that I can say, not this year!!!
Here are pictures of the cards I made.
It took a while to do but I am really happy with how they turned out. I used the Sending Holiday Cheer stamps from Hero Arts. I stamped the house on white cardstock with embossing ink, sprinkled Ranger Gold Superfine embossing powder on it. Heated it with the my Darice heat tool. Colored it in with copic markers and finished it with Crystal Stickles. Not all embossing powders are the same. I tried a brand that I picked up at Michael’s and did not get any where near the effect that I got with the Ranger brand. Definitely worth the effort to hunt this brand down because it gives you a nice gold raised embossed look. Exactly what I was looking for.
I used my Sizzix Stampin Up Top Note Die to cut the white pearl paper. I stamped the trees in Stampin Up Green Galore and sprinkled Ranger Embossing Tinsel (Bridal) on them and then heated it with my heat tool. I Stamped the Merry Christmas on it with embossing ink and used the superfine gold embossing powder on it and heated that as well. I used an 18k gold leaf pen (I picked it up at Joann’s with a 50% off coupon) to color the gold line around the top note cut out. I found that it was easier to use a small piece of transparency paper to draw the gold leafing out ot the pen and then used the pen like a paint brush to go around the outside. It helped achieve an even look doing it this way.
I attached the house to the card with pop dots and then used pink ATG to adhere the top note cut out to the card. Stamped the inside of the card with Memento ink (dried almost instantly). I have to say that I love love love the rock a blocks that I bought for stamping. I used the score line for a guide to line up the stamp. Rocked the stamp down and that was it. Perfect stamp every time.
Here is the Christmas Candle SVG that I promised. It did this in layers, so you should be able to turn on and off each layer when cutting it in SCAL2. The SVG, MTC (Make The Cut) and SCUT 2 (Sure Cut’s Alot) files are included in the zip for download.
I just wanted to say thank you for stopping by my blog. I love blogging and feel badly that I have not been able to post a lot of new files this holiday season. I have been working on a few files and will try and post them when I can.
Finished My Glitter Balls With Vinyl And Ribbon (With My Bow Easy)
Hi Everyone,
I finished working on the glitter ball Christmas ornaments for my work so I thought that I would post a picture. Everyone loved the way that they turned out. I think that they turned out awesome!!!!
This past weekend Michael’s had ribbon 50% off so I picked up 3 rolls of nice silver snowflake ribbon for $1.00 each. I am just awful at tying bows so I had to break out my bow easy that I picked up from Flip Flops and Roses. This little tool makes tying bows easy and fun. Check out this video and you will see what I mean. I whipped out 21 of them in no time.
Christmas Layered Poinsettia
Hi Everyone,
I got some time today to organize my craft supplies. I even made enough room on my desk so I can keep my cricut out all the time (with my cute dust cover on it!). After I got the kids to sleep tonight I decided to work on a Christmas Layered Poinsettia.
I cut the pieces on one 12×12 piece of Bazzill Cardstock and then inked around the edges. I used glue dots to adhere them to the circle and just layered and fanned them out. You should start with the larger leaves, then the smaller leaves and then the center piece. The great thing I discovered about using glue dots is that if you need to fan a leaf more after you have already adhered it, just give it a little tug in the direction you want it moved to and push down on where the glue dot it and it will stay in place. Depending on how much you fan the pieces out, you may end up with a few extra pieces. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE glitter so I used some Martha Stewart Glitter on the center.
For the very first time I am offering my files in three formats. SVG, MTC (Make The Cut) and SCUT2 (Sure Cut’s A Lot). All three formats are included in the same zip file for download.
Christmas Shopping and Glitter Ball Christmas Ornaments
Hello Everyone,
I hope that you had a safe and happy Thanksgiving. I started my Christmas shopping yesterday. I think that it is great that stores like the Boston store carried all of there sales online and even offered free shipping on a $50.00 or more purchase. That was one store I was able to cross off early on my list. My Sister-In-Laws and niece went to Michaels after Thanksgiving dinner. We got there about 4:30 and they had just opened up. I was very excited not to have to wait another 30 minutes for them to open. I scored some scrapbook storage that was 55% off and found that they had the new Quarter Note cricut cartridge. This cartridge has a lot of cute stuff on it and even a really nice font!
I also went to Wal-Mart at 11:45 last night to try and take advantage of there midnight sales. I ended up with most everything on my list. I picked up the Twinkle Toes, Jolly Holidays and Four Legged Friends. What I did not get to quick enough I was able to find online at walmart.com @ 2:30 a.m. when they activated there online sales. That meant I got to sleep in this morning. I did have to run back to Wal-Mart tonight and I was so surprised that they had not sold 1 of cricut expression. Every single spot on the display was just as full as it was last night when they unwrapped it. The cricut cartridges were a different story. The new cricut lites were almost sold out! I did run in to the madhouse called Joann’s. That place was crazy!!!! 2 hour wait to have fabric cut! I ran and got some fiber fill and ran out. I got an e-mail that they were selling the cricut personal for $59.99. It seems like it gets cheaper and cheaper every year. They actually still had a bunch of them at the store when I went this afternoon.
The glitter ball ornaments that I made last year have been a very popular post. The question I have been asked second to the font is, how have they held up through out the year. I have been going through decorations today and I thought that I would post a picture. Here they are!!
They still look awesome!!! I even picked them up and shook them and tipped them upside down to see if any glitter would come out . I only saw a few flakes come out. The sides of the balls still look the same as last year when I made them. One of the ornaments is missing from the picture because I made it for a friend and gave it to her last year. I have to boxes of clear ornaments that I picked up from Hobby Lobby when they were 50% off and I plan on making these again this year for my co-workers. We are decorating at work and will have a tree and I thought that it would be a great idea. I will try and post the pictures when they are finished.
