My Daughters Bowling Party Birthday Invites
My little girl is turning 4. Today she said she is a big girl and she is going to go to school on Monday. Then my 2 year old, not to be out done by his big sister said that he is going to school on Friday. Hey, if I had to pick a day of the week to go to school on, I sure would pick Friday :0. I can’t believe how fast they are growing. That is honestly why I have not been around my blog so much lately. I did get to finish up her birthday party invites today. She loves bowling so we are having a party at the bowling alley for her. I made cute bowling pin invitations for her party and I thought that I would share them.
I usedCri-Kits gel pens. I just love them. They are so easy to use and work perfect with Sure Cut’s Alot 2 or Make The Cut software. I used the Biscotti font. If you search my blog, you can find another post with a link to download it. I ended up taking Bazzill Smooth Cardstock and adhered white vinyl to it. Placed the 12×12 cardstock, vinylside downon the cutting mat. I used a pink Cri-Kit gel pen to write out the invite in Sure Cut’s a lot 2 and then cut it out. I know that you can’t really tell from the picture, but the white vinyl side, makes it look just like a bowling pin. I topped it off with a couple of strips of red vinyl. I think they turned out great.
Here is the SVG file. I could have made it wider, the choice is yours if you want to re-size it. I liked it this way, because it looked more like a real bowling pin.

A Few More Nested Files (Easter Egg and Scalloped Circles)
Gosh time is just flying by. I am so happy to say that I have ordered a Black Cat 13 Inch Cougar! While it will be a few weeks before it is back in stock and can be shipped, I am still so excited and can not wait to get this machine to play with it!
Here are a few nested files that I have been working on. This is an Easter Egg with 10 layers nested.
Here is a scalloped Circle with 10 layers nested.
Here is a half cut circle scallop with 6 nested layers.
All of the svg files are in layers and can be turned on or off in Sure Cuts A Lot or Make The Cut! All three are included in one zip file for download. Have a wonderful weekend and thank you so much for stopping by my blog.
Boycott Provo Craft Video
I received a link to a video on YouTube regarding Boycotting Provo Craft. I respect everyone’s opinion whether you are for or against Provo Craft. I for one, will not be purchasing any Provo Craft items again. I wanted to share the video and if you are so inclined, you can stop over to the Boycott Provo Craft Face book page for a visit as well.
Cricut Expression Dust Cover
My friend really liked the first dust cover that I made for my cricut expression so I gave it to her and made another one for myself. As I mentioned yesterday I was able to organize my craft area and cleared a spot for my cricut on my desk. I forgot to post the picture so here it is.
The fabric was a jelly roll that I bought at Joann’s. I love how it turned out and it looks cool sitting out on my desk.
My Very First Cricut Expression Dust Cover
Hello Everyone,
My husband and the kids both took naps today so I decided to spend a little time with my sewing machine. I finally decided to try and make the cricut expression dust cover that I downloaded from Custom Crops.
Here is how it turned out!
Learning how to gather was a project all by it self. Thank goodness for YOUTUBE!!! I think that for an experienced sewer this could be knocked out rather quickly for me it was a whole lot longer then nap time. My seam ripper and I have become good friends today. My awesome husband cooked dinner so I could finish this up. I hemmed the bottom of it but I did not like how it looked so I decided to have my very first experience with sewing elastic. It’s not perfect sewing but I think that it turned out well for my first try.
